Crime Alert! Theft and Burglary of Unlocked Cars

car break in

While our community continues to be one of the safest in Illinois, there is always room for improvement. Over the past few months, Clarendon Hills Police has noticed an increase in the surrounding region of car burglaries and car thefts affecting unlocked cars and cars with keys stored in the car. Please lock your vehicles and do not store keys in your vehicles. While these crimes are relatively minor, keeping our community locked up makes it less attractive to criminals. Policing is a community effort, and we need to work together to keep our community safe.
