Clarendon Hills Police has noticed an increase in our community of items being stolen from unlocked cars. Last night alone, 16 cars were burglarized including one car stolen as it had the keys left in the vehicle.
Please lock your vehicles and do not store keys, garage door openers and/or valuables in your vehicles. While these crimes are relatively minor, keeping our community locked up makes it less attractive to criminals. Additionally, minor incidents can lead to escalation and bigger issues. Policing is a community effort, and we need to work together to keep our community safe.
In addition, if you see something suspicious call 911!
