Mask required



Governor JB Pritzker announced, effective Monday, August 30, the entire state will be under an indoor face covering mandate, regardless of vaccination status. This mandate includes all municipal facilities. Executive Order 2021-20 (available via this link) implements the new statewide face covering mandate.

Starting August 9th, the Village will be mandating masks for all individuals vaccinated or not, at their public buildings, per CDC recommendations. We highly encourage the non-vaccinated get vaccinated.

July 28, 2021 the CDC has issued update guidelines due to the Delta variant of Covid-19. They are recommending everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas with substantial and high transmission. See the current press release here.

June 11th the state of Illinois is moving to Phase 5 (Illinois Restored). The guidance from the State of IL for businesses and venues can be found here. Please note businesses and municipalities are permitted to continue requiring face coverings and social distancing as deemed appropriate. Unvaccinated persons should wear face coverings when in public. Public transportation and health care facilities still require all members of the public to wear face coverings.

Starting May 13, several healthcare vaccine providers throughout DuPage County are planning to open COVID-19 vaccinations to children ages 12 to 15 years old. DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) will open vaccinations to this age group by Monday, May 17. Parents can begin to register their 12 to 15 year old children at dupagehealth.org/covid19vaccineregistration to schedule an appointment with DCHD. For vaccine providers beginning vaccinations tomorrow, visit www.dupagehealth.org/covid19vaccine

As vaccines become more available it's important that residents make sure they are registered with the DuPage County Health Department, so they can be notified. Once vaccinated it's also helpful to remove your name from their lists. DuPage residents can register with the DuPage County Health Department by visiting their website. www.dupagehealth.org

State and Local Health Agencies now have hotlines to assist people that are struggling to find appointments online to find and schedule vaccine appointments. Please pass this on to anyone you think would benefit.
