Due to the large storm Monday night (8/10/20), Public Works Crews were out to remove large limbs blocking streets and driveways. Tuesday, they focused north of Chicago Avenue and then will continue the rest of the week removing debris generated from parkway trees. The Village will not remove limbs or collect debris from trees on private property. Private Tree Companies should be contacted to clean up and haul away storm damage on private property. Residents can also perform this work themselves, but branches must be cut and bundled for collection by our waste hauler and placed on the curb on your normal collection day. Yard waste should be placed in a 35-gallon container or Kraft paper yard waste bag not weighing more than 50 pounds with a yard waste sticker. It must be marked as "Yard Waste." Bundles of sticks must not exceed 2 feet in diameter or 4 feet in length using twine or another biodegradable string. A yard waste sticker must be attached to each bundle. Yard waste stickers may be purchased from Jewel-Osco or the Clarendon Hills Hardware store. Thank you for your patience as we work through the backlog. |
