Early in the morning on Sunday, August 21st, a residential burglary was interrupted by the resident of a home in the 10 block of Norfolk Avenue. The offender ran away when confronted. The Police Department responded to the incident and determined there was no immediate threat to the public and is continuing to investigate. Typically, the Police Department does not comment on ongoing investigations unless there is a substantiated threat to the public, however, the Village has received several inquiries into the incident.
Clarendon Hills, like all communities, is experiencing incidents of property theft, usually related to vehicles. In most incidents we find that vehicles, homes, or buildings have been left unlocked.
