About the Department 
The Village Manager is appointed by Village Board to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of all Village departments. The Village Manager’s Office serves as the bridge between the Village Board and the operational departments. It ensures that the Village Board has the information and context it needs to make decisions and set priorities, then ensures that the departments have the direction, coordination, and resources need to carry out those decisions. The Department also provides human resources, risk management and communication functions for the Village as a whole.
