Clarendon Hills Fire Department Explorer Program

Introducing today’s youth to firefighter and emergency medical services operations, community service and civic involvement through positive mentoring, training, education, and career development. The Fire Explorer program gives first-hand experience in what it mentally and physically takes to be a professional firefighter. This Explorer program gives participants beneficial knowledge, experience, and discipline that can apply to any career field. 

Basic Requirements

  • Young adults between 14–20 years of age
  • Must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in school
  • Ability to work as a team member
