This spring the Village will be updating its construction and property maintenance codes and amendments (see list below). The Village's last comprehensive review and adoption of the 2006 International Code Council codes and related amendments were in December 2006. Maintenance of these regulations ensures the Village is up-to-date with current construction methods and public safety practices, and that these regulations are consistent with related internal and external laws and regulations. A copy of the proposed code books (2015 ICC and 2014 NEC) are available at Village Hall, and at the ICC publicAccess webpage found [here]. Links to the existing codes, working drafts, and proposed ordinances are provided below.
On December 3, 2018, the Village Board of Trustees adopted an ordinance updating the Village's building, electric, life safety code, and property maintenance codes. These code changes and related amendments can are posted at www.clarendonhills.us/bp.
NOTE - Permit applications submitted after February 1, 2019, will be required to comply with these newly adopted codes.
